Randy Tayloe
He makes sure lots of grass gets cut!Tayloe’s Lawn Care Services founder and owner, Randy Tayloe, grew up just a few miles outside Aulander. He is a proud alumnus of Aulander Elementary School and Bertie High School. He knows the area like the back of his hand, and in high school was often out and about the local area cutting grass at local churches.
After serving in the military and working in the logistics industry, Randy returned home to Aulander in 2014. He was eager to pursue his passion for nature and working outdoors. With years of experience in management in the LTL industry, he decided to invest in himself and his future by starting Tayloe’s Lawn Care Services.
Randy takes great pride in serving our community in Aulander. He is pleased to offer lawn maintenance services throughout Bertie County, as well as in Ahoskie and Hertford County. At Tayloe’s Lawn Care Services, we believe in delivering the best possible results to our customers, which is why we have invested in top-of-the-line equipment and trained our team to be knowledgeable and efficient.
Randy can usually be puttered around in his woodshop or spending time with his wife, Deborah, when he’s not working. He also enjoys spending time with his rescue pets: Rocco, a toy fox terrier, and Grace, a cat. Although he stays super busy, he supports his wife’s animal advocacy efforts and pitches in to help prevent animal cruelty when he can.
Randy believes a well-maintained lawn is essential to a property’s overall appeal. Whether a homeowner or a business owner, he’s ready to help. He’s here to help you achieve a lush, healthy lawn that enhances your property’s value and curb appeal.
When Randy is not cutting grass, he’s often working on educational credits. He holds a Ground Pesticide Applicator license from the North Carolina Department of Agriculture & Consumer Services.
Deborah Tayloe
She usually just plays indoors!Tayloe’s Lawn Care Services co-founder, Deborah Tayloe, is a full-time freelance copywriter who found herself accidentally pulled into the lawn care business.
Having worked writing copy for several top scientific publications, she landed a job writing copy for one of the nation’s top gardening catalogs. A lifelong hobbyist gardener, her knowledge grew as she continued to write copy focused on the landscaping industry.
She holds a B.S.Ed. from the Edinboro University of Pennsylvania. Continuing education includes professional Herbology and Soil and Water Management certificates from accredited programs.
When Randy suggested starting a family-owned lawn care company, she knew the role she wanted to play. She’d write all the marketing copy and throw her deep gardening knowledge into the mix. She provides customer service, and does much of the company’s estimating as they grow.
When she’s not working, you’ll find Deborah training for 5K races, advocating for animal rights in Bertie County, and pulling weeds in her garden. She finds weed-pulling strangely satisfying.
